Received sound advice from Bog Dog when looking to buy my first pair of trail running trainers, that were going to be suitable for 35km event in the Brecon Beacons.
After trying on 5 different pairs and using the in store treadmill a few times I went for the Altra Oylmpus 275’s.
They initially felt good on a couple of short trail runs to try and break them in.
Wore them last weekend for the main event and they were perfect, not one blister, were very comfortable and the wide toe box was perfect for my feet. They held my heel nice and tight, occasionally felt my forefoot move around a little bit but this was a good payoff against having the wide toe box that I needed.
They also were very easy to clean up after all the abuse they took in the Beacons.
When it’s time for my next pair these Olympus 275’s are going to take some beating but I’ll definitely be going to bog dog for their fantastic advice and help.
